THE NEXT MOVE
A 3-Session Live Career Pivot Intensive for Experienced Professionals

You shouldn't have to start over just because you're ready for something different.

In three live 90-minute sessions, we'll clarify what you're actually trying to change, translate and reposition the value of what you've already built, and turn it into a practical strategy for making your next move.

No sales call required. Enroll directly, then complete a short intake so I can understand what you're working through before we begin.

The Real Problem

You can be excellent at something you've outgrown.

There's a particular kind of career problem that shows up when nothing is obviously wrong.

You may be accomplished. People trust you. You may make good money and still be getting promoted. And you can still catch yourself thinking: I don't want another five or ten years of this.

That's a different problem from needing another job. The harder question isn't where to apply. It's this:

  • What should actually change, and what's fine as it is
  • What your years of experience now qualify you to do
  • Which parts of your professional identity still matter
  • Which parts are quietly keeping you boxed in

That's what The Next Move was built to help you work through.

From Terry

Let me tell you why I created this.

About a minute. Just me, talking straight.

Moved Without Leaving His Value Behind

"The power was back in my hands to determine the right fit, role, mission, purpose, money, everything on the table. I secured my true value moving to another organization and didn't leave anything behind."

The Experience

Three sessions. Three decisions that shape what comes next.

01
Clarify

What are you actually trying to change?

We diagnose whether the change you want is really about your role, company, industry, function, level, manager, culture, workload, autonomy, impact or meaning. The point is to stop treating "I need a pivot" as the diagnosis, so you leave clear on what you're moving away from, what you're moving toward, and what you won't sacrifice to get there.

02
Translate + Position

What is your experience worth, and how does the market need to see you differently?

First we find the value underneath your history: the strengths, judgment and problems you're repeatedly trusted to solve. Then we translate it into positioning. What you want to be considered for next, what the market currently assumes about you, and how your past supports rather than limits your future.

03
Move

How do you make the move without starting over?

We turn the first two sessions into a practical strategy. Target roles and organizations, experiments worth running, relationships and visibility, real versus imagined skill gaps, the credentials actually needed, and concrete priorities for your next 30 to 90 days.

Ready to stop turning this over in your head and start working through it?

Why Five People

This isn't a webinar. Five people changes the experience.

I cap every cohort at five on purpose. Small enough that we actually talk. Small enough that I can hear what you're working through and diagnose it with you, out loud, in real time.

And you don't only learn when I'm talking to you. Watching another experienced professional work through a version of your own problem surfaces questions and options you'd never have found alone.

The group isn't a compromise. It's part of how the work happens.

  • Real conversation, not a broadcast
  • Live coaching on actual situations
  • Room to ask the questions that matter
  • Patterns you recognize across careers and industries
How the Experience Works

A clear rhythm, built to build.

Three live sessions ·
One 90-minute session at each stage, live with me and no more than four other people. Teaching, facilitated discussion, coaching and exercises, not a lecture you watch.
Focused pre-work ·
About 30 to 45 minutes of focused prompts before each session. It gets you into the real questions early, so our live time goes to interpretation, discussion and coaching rather than information gathering.
Work that compounds ·
Each session builds on the last. What you develop in session one feeds session two, and by session three you're turning insight into an actual plan for moving.
Who This Is For

Built for the person with experience to protect, not a career to invent from scratch.

You've spent 15, 20, 25 or more years building your career and know you're ready for something different.
You're successful enough that simply "starting over" doesn't feel realistic or intelligent.
You know your capabilities extend well beyond your title, but aren't sure the market sees it.
You're drawn to a different function, industry or level and need to build the bridge.
You've considered another certification but suspect credentials aren't the real problem.
You don't need to be told to work harder. You need to think differently about what you've already built.

No age requirement, and you don't have to be an executive. You do have to have real experience worth repositioning.

What You Leave With

The goal isn't three good conversations. It's a clearer next move.

Greater Direction
A clear read on what you're actually trying to change, and what you're moving toward, specific enough to act on.
A Transferable Value Map
A stronger grasp of the capabilities and career capital underneath your titles, and where they can travel.
A Positioning Direction
A story that connects what you've done with where you're going, so the market reads you the way you intend.
Career Filters
A way to weigh opportunities against what you actually want next, not repeat the same career in a new building.
A Movement Strategy
Practical, prioritized first steps for beginning the transition, so you leave with a plan to move, not just a plan to keep thinking about it.

Who's Leading This

Why trust me to lead this?

I spent more than 20 years in Learning & Development and corporate leadership, rising from manager to VP and leading the L&D function for several major corporations in New York. I've spent that career designing training, developing people, and helping professionals figure out how to perform, and move, at a higher level.

Over those years I've interviewed, coached and trained thousands of people, and today I work as a career strategist and executive coach. What I do best is help experienced people translate their experience into influence, so they're not just seen for what they've done, but understood for what they can do next.

The Next Move brings together the strategic questions I see experienced professionals wrestle with most often and gives us a structured way to work through them together.

New Role in 4 Months, 25 Years Into the Career
"

I hesitantly approached working with Terry because I thought I already knew how to navigate the process with close to 25 years in my industry. His style and exceptional listening proved me wrong from our first conversation. Be prepared to think differently, have honest conversations with yourself, and trust his process. I walked away changed professionally, and equipped to repeat it successfully on my own.

Manager to Associate Global Director
"

One thing Terry said stayed with me: "They are also looking for you." That completely changed my mindset. I got the job and moved from a manager position to Associate Global Director, leading a team of seven.

Florence
Landed Technical Program Manager at Amazon
"

You helped me show impact with quantifiable results. I was composed, not nervous, and they were impressed by the stories I told. The role is a Technical Program Manager at Amazon.

The Next Move is a new small-group experience. These comments reflect my work helping experienced professionals think differently about their careers, and the strategic approach I bring into this program.

The Founding Cohort

Why I'm starting this small.

I'm beginning The Next Move with very small live groups on purpose, so the experience can stay intimate, highly responsive and grounded in the real questions you and a few peers bring into the room. Five people gives us enough perspective to learn from one another while keeping the room small enough for real conversation and live coaching.

Questions

Before you reserve your seat.

Each session is 90 minutes. Because the group is small and interactive, we spend that time on real discussion and live coaching rather than lecture.
If you have to miss a session, you won't need to schedule a separate make-up. Each live session is recorded and made available privately to your cohort shortly afterward, along with the relevant session materials, so you can catch up and continue with the group.
Yes. Sessions are recorded for the private use of members of your cohort and remain available until 30 days after the final session. Because the conversations may include personal professional situations, recordings may not be shared, reposted or distributed outside the cohort.
Because honest conversation matters, confidentiality is a clear expectation of participation. Everyone is expected to respect the privacy of what other participants share and not repeat personal or professional information outside the cohort.
About 30 to 45 minutes of focused pre-work before each session. It's preparation that lets the live time focus on interpretation, discussion and coaching rather than information gathering.
No. Not knowing yet is one of the main reasons this program exists. Getting clear on that is the work of the first session.
You'll get a confirmation with your cohort details, then a short intake so I understand what you're working through before we begin. Your first pre-work arrives before session one.
The Next Move is the strategic work that should come before you rewrite a resume, apply to random roles or chase another credential. Direction, transferable value, positioning and movement. What you develop here can absolutely inform your resume, LinkedIn and interviews later. It just isn't a document-writing service.
No. The Next Move is a focused small-group experience built specifically around navigating a career pivot. My private advisory work is individually designed around one client's broader circumstances and ongoing strategy. Different purpose, different format. If figuring out what's next is your priority, this was designed for exactly that.
Purchases are refundable within 24 hours, because enrolling reserves one of a limited number of seats in The Next Move. Your enrollment may be transferred with at least 7 days' notice before your cohort begins, to another available cohort beginning within the following six months. Transfers are subject to availability and aren't redeemable for cash. And if I ever cancel the program and can't offer you the program or an alternative cohort that works for you, your payment is refunded. View the full Cancellation & Refund Policy.
The Next Move

You don't have to throw away everything you've built. You have to understand what it makes possible next.

You have the experience, the evidence, the relationships and the judgment. The only question left is what all of it now adds up to, and what you're going to do about it. That's the decision The Next Move is built for.
